Hektar Real Estate Investment Trust (Hektar REIT) has successfully completed the acquisition and lease of a leasehold industrial property in Penang after fulfilling all conditions outlined in the sale and purchase agreement.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Hektar REIT confirmed that the acquisition and lease, which were first announced on Feb 19, 2025, officially reached completion on July 8, 2026. The completion followed the fulfilment of all conditions precedent and the settlement of the agreed purchase consideration.

The acquired property consists of a leasehold industrial site located on PN 5908, Lot 14840, Mukim 12, in the Barat Daya district of Penang.

The land measures approximately 7,657 square metres and has been developed with factory buildings that accommodate industrial manufacturing, warehousing and office space, making it a multi-purpose industrial asset.

Hektar REIT also confirmed that the transaction is classified as a non-related party transaction under Chapter 10 of Bursa Malaysia’s Main Market Listing Requirements.

The latest announcement marks the formal completion of the acquisition and lease arrangement, with the commercial rationale, lease terms and financial impact having been disclosed in the initial announcement made in February 2025.
